The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) position is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Overview NaphCare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of medical professionals in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, NV. As a Correctional CMA , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with examinations, taking patient histories, vital signs, supporting administrative tasks, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. *New grads are encouraged to apply - we'll train you in the exciting field of correctional healthcare!* Responsibilities As a CMA , you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to: Clinical Duties: Perform routine blood drawing procedures as applicable by licensure Take and document vital signs, height and weight and assist with PPDs and EKGs as required Assist with examinations and/or treatments as needed and report all changes in patients’ conditions Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation, and dressing changes Administrative Duties: Receive and route visitors and inquiries and issues to the appropriate staff Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail, email or fax Perform various clerical and administrative functions, including ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies and sorting and distribute all mail and interoffice correspondence Perform bookkeeping duties, such as preparation of expense reports and maintaining petty cash and receipts Transmit and maintain all medical claims and all subpoenas and/or medical record requests as required Assist with staff scheduling and coordinate all meetings Prepare and maintain monthly reporting and statistical data as required Gather and maintain documentation required for all accreditation surveys Notify critical information to the next level of management that may have a negative impact on client and/or vendor relations or patient care Qualifications Requirements / Qualifications CMA Certification - Completion of an accredited medical assisting program High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Be able to obtain CPR certification, if required Office Lab Assistant License (for Nevada only) Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
