Overview Under the supervision of the Infectious Diseases physician, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing direct patient care and complex care coordination to patients in both the hospital and outpatient setting. Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient’s medical record. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Infectious Disease Program best practices. Participates in Infectious Disease Program Performance Improvement initiatives as well as any quality hospital Initiatives as assigned. Collaborates with the DCH Infection Prevention Specialists to ensure effective program operations.
