Wellstar ENT Douglas is where we care for patients at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, GA. This position typically requires working with patients of all ages in a clinic setting, assisting in the operating room and rounding on hospitalized patients. Weekend rounding required (shared with team). In this role you will: Perform first OR assist duties Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail. Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care. Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings. Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications. Complete pre-op appointments for surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Overview Responsibilities Our pediatricians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are experienced in caring for children from infancy through age 4 who may be at risk of developing special health care needs. As a high-risk NICU follow-up clinic, our practice collaborates with pediatricians and other community providers to facilitate optimal developmental support, early intervention, family support, and specialized care, while also offering additional support and education for parents and caregivers. These hospital-based outpatient clinics will be located at Methodist Children's Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital and Christus Children's Hospital. The ideal candidate will be comfortable seeing babies who have just come out of the NICU and require follow-up care.
