Job Overview The Clinical Manager oversees the daily operations of a direct patient care department, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards. This role provides clinical leadership, guiding staff in delivering developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes. We care for children from birth to 21 years of age. Patients treated here are experiencing multi-organ system failure, acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, meningitis, septic shock, near drowning, diabetic ketoacidosis, renal and/or hepatic failure, oncology/bone marrow transplant or airway management, among other diagnoses. Major diagnostic categories include respiratory, neurologic, injury/poisoning, trauma, oncological and infectious disease. The PICU also provides care for patients receiving solid organ transplants as well as neurosurgical, burn, orthopedic, ENT, and general pediatric surgical patients. Patients in the PICU are cared for by a multidisciplinary team including Pediatric Intensivists, RNs, support staff, and dedicated PICU Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, Social Workers and Child Life Specialists.
