Summary SUMMARY The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for meeting patient's priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and /or delegating care and evaluating patients' responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. Summary SUMMARY The Float Pool RN performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages the care of patients with conditions common to the various units assigned including, but not limited to: general surgical patients including outpatient surgicals; medical patients including infant to geriatric populations; critically ill patients; neurological patients; renal patients; oncology patients; cardiovascular patients; pediatric patients; subacute and rehab patients; altered mental status patients; orthopedic patients; and OB/gyn patients with the exception of labor and delivery or newborn nursery. Orientation specific to general medical/surgical floors, intensive care units, emergency department, mother/baby, and/or mental health areas will be provided based on areas the employee will be working. Additionally float personnel working in the ICU and PCU areas will be required to complete modified ECCO curriculum, PCU hemodynamic monitoring, EKG monitoring and ACLS.
