Description St. Croix Health is looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE) CNA to work in our Med/Surg department. This position will work day shifts (7am - 7:30 pm), every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing many basic care tasks for patients, like grooming, dressing, bathing, eating and exercising. They also assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like taking blood, monitoring vitals with medical equipment and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing. Their role is to ensure patients are comfortable and well cared working under the scope of a Registered Nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist patients to perform ADLs, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising Delivers efficient/excellent care to all patients on the unit. Duties include performing ADL’s, transferring, ambulation, dressing, toileting, turning and repositioning, feeding, bathing, etc. Keeps rooms and patient care supplies clean including changing soiled linen, emptying commodes or bedpans Turn or reposition bedridden patients Answer patient call signals to determine patients’ needs Assist patients to eat or drink Undress, wash, and dress patients who are unable to do so themselves Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on and off beds Supply, collect, or empty bedpans Wash, groom, shave, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination 2. Description We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team: Full-time Benefit Eligible (0.8 - 1.0 FTE) Primarily scheduled at our St. Croix Falls location but may need to travel to community clinics to provide support. Start and end times vary with hours ranging from 7 AM-6 PM Monday through Friday and 8-4 on rotating weekends and holidays. As a Clinic Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a clinical setting. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. The Clinic RN rooms patients, acts as telephone triage nurse, refills medications per SCRMC protocol, coordinates chronic disease care, triages walk-in patients and assists providers with exams as needed. Description St. Croix Health is looking for a temporary Certified Nursing Assistant to work in our Surgery department. This position will work day shifts, Monday through Friday for approximately 7 - 12 weeks. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) partners with the registered nurse and performs work as delegated to support in the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care. The CNA assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and mobility. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CNA supports clinical care by monitoring vital signs, assisting with basic medical procedures, and accurately reporting changes in patient condition or behavior. The CNA plays a key role in promoting patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being within the scope of their practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Patient Care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assist patients with ADLs (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility) to promote comfort and dignity. Reposition or transfer patients safely to enhance mobility and prevent skin breakdown. Respond promptly to call lights and requests, assessing and addressing patient needs. Provide direct assistance with eating and drinking, ensuring patient dietary restrictions and preferences are followed. Safely assist in lifting, transferring, or repositioning patient using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury. 2. Clinical Support and Communication Monitor and document vital signs using approved equipment, reporting deviations to the RN immediately. Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, skin integrity, or symptoms to the RN to support timely clinical decision-making. Assist the nurse with non-invasive procedures and equipment operation, maintaining proper scope of practice. Apply clean dressing, sling, stockings or support bandages under RN direction to support treatment plans. Communicate proactively with the care team to report patient needs, changes in condition, and care preferences. 3. Environmental Safety and Unit Support Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms and common areas. Change soiled linens, empty commodes or bedpans, and restock personal care supplies in patient rooms at least once per shift. Complete unit cleanliness and supply checklist daily; submit work order for maintenance issues. Stock and organize medical supplies to ensure availability and promote efficiency. Uphold infection control standards consistently, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and surface cleaning. 4. Emotional Support and Patient Interaction Provide empathetic, patient-centered care by engaging in positive communication and responding to requests in a timely, respectful manner. Identify and support the emotional and social needs of patients through active listening, conversation, and reporting of concerns to primary RN. Observe for signs of distress or discomfort and communicate observations promptly to the RN. Consultation and Collaboration Partner with subject matter experts across St. Croix Health, as well as with community, regional, and state partners, to address education and practice needs. Serve as a system consultant for orientation, onboarding, and patient care education at the system, department and unit level. 3. Strategic and System Leadership Leverage professional organization resources to ensure alignment with industry and professional standards. Act as a conduit to break down silos, foster a culture of system-wide collaboration in practice and education. Co-leads the System Practice and Education Committee. Develop and maintain professional development programs to support role growth, leadership development, and succession planning. Create and maintain a catalog of ongoing role-based and professional education resources for individual career development. 4. Student and Emerging Professional Programs Oversee student and intern programs to ensure alignment with regulatory, academic, and organizational standards, including: Professional student rotations High school job shadow opportunities Community-based healthcare career exploration programs. Requirements Education & Licensure: Associate’s degree in nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certified BLS instructor within six months of hire. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a direct care provider; or Two or more years in education and/or practice position. Experience in teaching, coaching, precepting or training. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication and listening skills. Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible and able to reprioritize quickly. Description St. Croix Health is looking for full-time (0.9 FTE) Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team! This position will work weekdays (Monday through Friday), with on-call duties assigned as required. The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for handling sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and Endoscopy. The Surgical Technologist has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technologist has the knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and Endoscopy and is vigilant in the maintenance of the sterile field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Preoperative Responsibilities: Donning proper surgical attire and personal protective gear (PPE) Reviews, gathers and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure Assists in positioning patient using appropriate positioning supplies and equipment Performs proper hand hygiene to scrub into the sterile field Sets up sterile back table and mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions needed for the procedure Checks equipment prior to the start of the case to assure it is working properly Assists team members with gowning and gloving Assists with draping the patient and establishes the sterile field 2. Intraoperative Responsibilities: Participates in the Universal Protocol including Sign-In, Time-out and Debrief Counts instrumentation, sharps, sponges, and soft goods per the department policy Prepares and anticipates additional instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for usage during the surgical procedure Appropriately passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgical procedure Labels medications, hemostatic agents and irrigation solutions used during the surgical procedure Holds retractors or instruments as directed by the surgeon Coordinates the camera or changes out robotic arms/instruments during endoscopic surgery as directed by the surgeon Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during the procedure Prepares sterile dressings and/or immobilization devices Prepares and passes off specimens as appropriate per department policy 3. Postoperative Responsibilities: Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization Assists in room cleaning and turn over 4. Description St. Croix Health is looking for a full-time (0.90 FTE) Charge Registered Nurse to work in our Med/Surg department. This position will work straight night shifts (7pm - 7:30am), every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday. Job Summary The Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating the operations of the unit under guidance of the Supervisor, Manager, and/or House Supervisor. The Charge Nurse will lead the team in a professional manner, in accordance with hospital policy, to ensure the highest quality of care and promote positive outcomes. Monitor and coordinate the daily patient care activities of the unit; schedule staff and patients to ensure full coverage of patient care needs and to ensure effective delivery of patient care. Oversee and provide direct nursing evaluation and/or other related care and consultation to patients as required. Delegate unit and patient responsibilities to nursing staff based on each staff member’s level of competence. Coordinate services and patient movement with other patient care departments. Conform to all regulatory guidelines, ensure adherence to facility policies. Maintain compliance with standards of practice and ethics. De-escalate potentially volatile situations involving patients, visitors, or co-workers. Work to diffuse situations causing distress or concern for staff, clinicians and/or patients. Communicate situations to Supervisor, Manager, or House Supervisor for follow-up. Report concerns about patient care, the work environment, or employee performance to the Supervisor or Manager in timely fashion. Identify and address patient and staff safety issues, communicate concerns to appropriate management personnel. Participate in unit staffing, code rounds, interdisciplinary team rounds and other activities as requested. Assign duties during downtime. Lead daily huddle and summarize discussion. Assure distribution to those not in attendance. Requirements Education: Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred Licensure: Current WI Registered Nurse license required Certification: BLS required upon hire ACLS required within six months of hire/starting role Experience: 1 – 3 years of experience as acute care Registered Nurse IMC experience preferred Competencies: Excellent communication and listening skills. JOB DESCRIPTION HealthPartners North Suburban Family Physicians has an exciting opportunity for a Triage RN to join our team! This .80 fte position will be based at our Lino Lakes clinic with potential for coverage at our Hugo or Roseville clinics. The schedule for this position will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday either 8:00am – 4:30pm or 8:30am – 5pm. This position provides triage support for our clinic at the North Suburban Family Physicians clinics. Nurses are expected and supported to work at the top of your license by using protocols embedded in the electronic medical record and a variety of resources including Standing Orders and protocols. This position also includes occasionally working with patients that have questions or needs once on-site . Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees.
