Is there a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate?
Yes.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is requiring COVID-19 vaccination of eligible staff at health care facilities that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs, which include: Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Community Mental Health Centers, Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, Critical Access Hospitals, End-Stage Renal Disease Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Home Infusion Therapy Suppliers, Hospices, Hospitals, Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Clinics, Rehabilitation Agencies, and Public Health Agencies as Providers of Outpatient Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs) Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly Organizations (PACE), Rural Health Clinics/Federally Qualified Health Centers, and Long Term Care facilities. For the full details of the mandate issued on November 4, 2021, click here.
Does IntelyCare mandate the COVID-19 vaccine?
Like our facility partners, IntelyCare will be abiding by state and federal guidelines. As a result of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate issued on November 4 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, IntelyCare will require all IntleyPros to upload proof of their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by December 4. We will also require IntelyPros to have proof of their second dose of the vaccine by January 4th. This applies to all IntelyPros intending to work at our facility partners and agencies. The only instance in which IntelyPros may continue to work is at Assisted Living Facilities and Drug Rehabs, which do not currently fall under the federal vaccine mandate. For directions to upload proof of vaccine, click here.
Where can I find a religious accommodation form?
You can download the Religious Accommodation Request form here.
Keep in mind that exemptions are accepted at the discretion of the facility. A religious exemption does not overrule vaccine requirements.
Where can I find medical exemption documentation?
You can download the ADA Medical Accommodation form here.
Keep in mind that exemptions are accepted at the discretion of the facility. A medical exemption does not overrule vaccine requirements.
Where do I upload my religious and medical exemption documentation?
The Religious Accommodation Vaccine Request and the ADA Medical Accommodation form can both be uploaded in the IntelyCare app. Simply follow the same steps you would to upload proof of a COVID-19 Vaccine (directions can be found here.) Then choose “Exemption” from the list of manufacturers.
How much does it cost to get a COVID-19 vaccine?
The COVID-19 vaccine is available for free in most locations.
Can IntelyCare give IntelyPros a COVID-19 Vaccine?
Unfortunately not. IntelyCare does not qualify as a distributor of the COVID-19 vaccine under the Federal Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care program. However, we continue to lobby for access to the vaccine for both our employees and other frontline contract workers across the country.
Are IntelyPros eligible to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine?
Yes. All long-term care healthcare professionals (that includes IntelyPros!) are eligible to receive the vaccine through operating vaccine clinics.
How can IntelyPros receive a COVID-19 Vaccine?
If you have not already received a COVID-19 vaccine, you can locate a vaccine at Vaccines.gov, or check out your nearby Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy.
