RN Cardiac Cath Lab - Part Time Day 3 - 8 Hour Shifts per week and every other weekend. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‐based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Essential functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty. Education, License & Cert: 1) Registered Nurse in the State of Practice. 2) BSN in Nursing preferred. 3) Any previously agreed upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor's degree in nursing between individuals and facilities will remain in effect, including those who transition to their position from the NLRN Program. 4) Any contract with specific time frames for obtaining a bachelor's degree in nursing will supersede the above point and will remain in effect. 5) Specialty Certification is preferred 6) BLS certification. 7) ACLS is unit dependent. 8) PALS is unit dependent Experience: The Registered Nurse must be a registered nurse currently licensed in the state of employment with at least one year of experience. Alternately, the Registered Nurse may have less than one year of experience if they have been transitioned to their position from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program. The Registered Nurse must meet the individual nursing unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment. Must maintain BLS certification. ACLS is unit dependent. Specifications regarding educational requirements during employment are determined by the Nursing Department and Nursing Unit. Essential Functions: Employs Nursing Professional Practice: Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients' care. Develops updates and coordinates the patients' plan of care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes and transitions across the continuum. Rutgers, University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Nursing Assistant for Southwoods State Prison, located in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Nursing Assistant provides direct care to inmates under the direction of a Physician, Physician’s Assistant or a Registered Nurse and or Licensed Practical Nurse. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Implements physician/associate practitioner orders within the scope of practice under the auspices of a Registered Nurse. Assists with feeding, bathing, and other inmate activities of daily living (ADL’s) as needed within the Health Service Unit. Assists the physician/associate practitioner with procedures as needed, including preparing the inmate for the examination. Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit. Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manne .

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse (Medical) for Southwoods State Prison, located in Bridgeton, NJ The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse position is to, in accordance with professional nursing standards, skillfully administer total patient care based on the individualized needs of assigned patients and families. Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides technical nursing care to assigned patients, performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines, and provides a safe and therapeutic environment. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Participates in data collection related to the patients’ status and needs. Provides input to Registered Nurse for incorporation into the plan of care by communicating information pertinent to the patient’s status. Provides direct patient care within scope of practice to ensure implementation of the plan of care. Informs and instructs patients/significant others on patient’s health/illness state and plan of care.
