Essential Functions: Intake patients by obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and all medications that the patient is currently taking, documenting chief complaints before the patient is seen by the physician Obtain laboratory results for review by the physician, setting up and assisting with procedures, and entering labs as ordered Perform various injections such as intradurmal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous, and phlebotomy as ordered Administer oxygen therapy by nasal cannula or face mask as ordered by the physician Perform electrocardiograms, suture removal and wound care, patient education and assist with minor surgery Ensure patient follow-up care and scheduling of appointments Prepare and stock examination rooms Perform other duties as assigned Personal Traits: All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organization’s values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork and pride.
