X-Ray Imaging: Perform limited scope/basic X-ray exams (chest, extremities, spine) as licensed in Alabama or Florida. Prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment safely, and ensure ALARA compliance. Maintain logs and QC checks. Patient Registration & Insurance Verification: Register patients, verify eligibility, determine financial responsibility, collect co-pays, reconcile logs, and maintain EMR accuracy. Patient Service: Educate patients on procedures and imaging, provide clear discharge instructions, and de-escalate concerns with empathy and professionalism. Team & Compliance: Participate in daily huddles, maintain compliance logs (crash cart, fridge temps, dosimetry), support infection-control, HIPAA, and safety standards. What We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Active national MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Alabama: Active Limited Scope X-Ray license required. Florida: Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) license required. At least 1+ year of MA experience with insurance verification and patient registration required. Urgent care or ER experience highly valued. Proficiency with EMR (Experity preferred) and payer portals (e.g., Waystar). Proven venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
