Independently guides nursing practice and evaluates patient specific outcomes. Responsible for inspiring to ensure clinically excellent outcomes through effective delegation in the exercise of his/her independent judgement. To assess, evaluate, implement, collect data, document, monitor, administer pre and post-operative medications to all surgical patients. Directs the care delivered by other licensed and unlicensed clinicians. Assist with physicians with procedures. Prioritize care for all types of surgical patients. Qualifications Your qualifications should include: 1-2 years of acute care experience Graduate of NLNAC or CCNE School of Nursing, and licensed in the state of IL BLS certification must be maintained while in this position OCN Certification within 18 months of hire or 36 total CE in Oncology every Commission of Cancer cycle of three years with completion of 12 CE every year (Surgical Services exempt) ACLS upon hire or obtained by end of orientation period, and maintain while in position Telemetry - Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and institute appropriate interventions Must be able to respond to the hospital within 60 minutes City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
