We provide care to recently transferred TICU patients, as well as admits from the Trauma ED, PACU, and elective orthopedic cases to include Knees, Hips, Shoulder joint replacements, along with single system orthopedic elective surgeries. 5 South is a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking, time-management, and teamwork. We work collaboratively with RN’s, LPNs, and techs to provide the highest level of care to our patients. General Description: An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) I works under general supervision, providing the highest quality of care to patients in a hospital setting with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and shares care plan during the time of care and at the time of discharge. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
