Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, nursing interventions, treatments, modalities, the therapeutic environment and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge, professional accountability and adherence to regulatory bodies. The Registered Nurse actively participates in and encourages teamwork to provide patient-focused in accordance with the mission and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse with current Oklahoma licensure. Current BLS certification required at the time of hire and ACLS certification within 18 months of hire. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous experience in telemetry or related cardiac clinical setting preferred. As part of our nursing team, you are empowered to work collaboratively with our physicians and other caregivers, and play an integral role in setting the standard for excellence in patient care. Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant: The Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider. Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Patient visit support that may include: Greeting patients, and escorting patient to exam room and/or taking patients’ vital signs, and other applicable medical information to effectively support the reason for the patients visit and recommended treatment. Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments. Ensures patient exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for incoming patients. Provides patients with privacy, comfort, safety and hygiene. Assists in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies, instruments and equipment for all exam rooms. Maintains appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders received for completeness. Addresses and requests referrals and other insurance authorizations in addition to passing along patient information for prescription, x-ray or lab requisitions to necessary parties. This includes calls to pharmacies, hospitals, and labs. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
