Our Company ResCare Community Living Overview Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs. Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Provides routine care for patients. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 care for client always following client’s plan of care while maintaining client's dignity and independence Monitoring clients’ vital statistics and reporting abnormal findings to the case manager and physician assessments Performs medication administration, feedings, oxygen, ostomy care as needed per client's plan of care and provided assessments of results Complete routines as established by other care professionals such as Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Therapist Ensures infection control policies are maintained at all times, reports possible communicable diseases or infections, and ensures the overall implementation and practice of infection control procedures are implemented Accurately documents nursing actions of all care given and communicates with family, case manager, and physicians as well as documents the progress and outcomes for established goals and informs physician, case manager, and families of changes in client's medical condition and needs Orders supplies and medications, as needed, to ensure adequate amounts are on hand at all times Ensures all patient needs are being met in accordance with the instructions of the physician. Monitors incidents involving individuals. Regardless of start date, seasonal program/assignment ends on March 31, 2026. • Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. • Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. • During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee), if holidays fall during their temporary assignment period. • Seasonal Staff are TEMPORARY status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. This provider will join a team of both physicians and APPs on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule that provides 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties.
