Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis delivers direct patient care to patients receiving hemodialysis treatments based on Nursing Process.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nursing Program
  • BSN Preferred
  • Licensed to practice nursing in New York State
  • One (1) year of hemodialysis experience
  • Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • ACLS Certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Good mental and physical health
  • Activity includes lifting, stooping, constant walking
  • Finger and hand dexterity and visual and aural and olfactory acuity to recognize changes in patients' condition
  • The ability to cope with stress and handle multiple priorities is required
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required to maintain professional relationships.
  • Good interpersonal skills as well as professional attitude are required
