The majority of patients admitted to the CCU are cardiac patients with both medical and surgical conditions. The patient population includes CABG, Cardiothoracic surgery, Transvenous Aortic Valve Replacement, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Cardiogenic shock, V-A and V-V ECMO, acute MI, LVADs, vascular surgeries as well as other illnesses requiring intensive care.
