The surgical tech recognizes significant conditions and reactions of the patient and notifies the appropriate patient care team as necessary. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Surgical Technologist I: Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed. Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS) Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Surgical Technologist II: Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program and Surgical Technologist Certification with a minimum of 3 years working in a Surgical Tech role OR minimum 5 years working in a Surgical Tech role. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Surgical Technologist role if certified. Minimum of 5 years in Surgical Technologist role if not certified. Familiarity and manual dexterity required with all basic surgical instruments, supplies, equipment and procedures. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting procedures and operating special computer software. BLS-HCP Certification required and/or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
