Prepare the operating room for surgery. Keep records of use of Steam Sterilizer. Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator. Keep the suture carts organized and watch expiration dates. Turn over rooms in between cases. Assist the team members with gowning and gloving. Assist with patient positioning pre-operative and transport patient from cart to bed and back. Stock adequate supplies for surgery. Perform other duties as requested.
