Student Nurse Assistant

As a Student Nurse Assistant (SNA), you will work closely with nursing staff to care for acutely ill patients, gaining first-hand experience in a world class hospital setting. What will you do? Provide direct physical care to patients in selected situations where thorough knowledge of technique and demonstration of competency is required. Networking with nursing staff and leaders. **This is a year round position** Work Schedule Work Hours will be determined at time of hire. This is primarily 20% FTE (16 hours per pay period), generally every other weekend, 8/12 hour shifts, Day/Evening/Night shift scheduling, holidays and weekends may be required. Clinic positions are Monday - Friday, Day hours. Hours will vary based on the operational needs of the department. **This is a year round position** Pay : $19/hour plus Weekend and Evening/Night differential. Education Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science) and successful completion of the program's hands-on entry-level clinical course Work Experience Preferred - Previous health care experience. Description Work Schedule: 100% FTE, day/evening shift. Operational hours of the Cath Lab/EP lab are 6:00am to 7:00pm. Practice in a patient- and family-centered environment within a program rated high performing in cardiology by U.S. News & World Report, utilizing advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques to support structural heart interventions, advanced interventional procedures, and heart transplant services. Develop and integrate new skills while incorporating evidence-based nursing practice into unit culture, working alongside expert physicians, fellows, and researchers in a dynamic academic medical center. Participate in shared governance through a unit-based council, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and leading practice change. Bring 3+ years of inpatient ICU-level nursing experience or prior cardiac cath lab nursing experience (preferred) to support high-acuity, innovative cardiovascular care.
