The C.N.A. Training Program is an in-house, WI State Certified, Nursing Assistant training program to learn how to assist in the general nursing care of patients. The program is full-time, for 3 weeks. Clinicals are in the hospital for the last 4 days of the program. Schedule: Beginning February 9th, 2026, individuals hired for this CNA training program will commit to full-time, first shift hours, February 9th - February 27th . It is a 3-week class, M-F 0800-1630 for class and 0700-1530 for clinical. Clinicals are the last 4 days of the program. To be able to be part of the program current PHC staff need to not be in any performance plan with their leader. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Receive verbal or written assignments. Reviews information on the patient Care Plan to determine what assistance and/or care should be provided for the patient. Seeks clarification from appropriate resources when necessary. Assist in the collection and documentation of the client's health care data and reports unusual observations to the RN. Assists with ensuring systematic, on-going, data collection with relevant documentation. Plans work through assignments by the RN and/or through established protocol. Organize work assignments with consideration for economy of time, effort and supplies. Gives priority to and patient requests. Assist in meeting basic patient needs for physical, psychological and environmental comfort and safety, in the home setting. Assist in meeting basic patient needs for nutrition and elimination. Deliver care in a nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory manner that is sensitive to client diversity, while preserving and protecting client autonomy, dignity, and rights. Acquire and continually enhance knowledge in current practice. Seeks out opportunities for growth in an effort to maintain and increase skills and cognitive abilities. 4NW is a 31 bed mixed acuity care unit that specializes in the care of orthopedic and neurological patients. Our Orthopedic patients include joint replacements, traumatic fractures and injuries to the extremities, and back pain. 4NW also cares for a variety of both medical and surgical neurological patients including stroke, movement disorders, traumatic brain/spinal injuries, and mixed neurosurgical patients. All nursing staff are NIHSS stroke certified and all caregivers receive specialized training to promote safe and early mobilization of post-surgical joint patients. Job Summary: Core to the ArchWell Health approach is to have a robust clinical care team focused on the needs of our members. The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical role in supporting the PCP day-to-day and ensuring efficiency in the care provided to patients. MAs will work closely and collaboratively with their teammates to greet and room ArchWell Health members. S/he will be expected to assist in assessing patient’s health conditions, including performing routine diagnostic testing during appointments. The MA-Float may be asked to provide coverage outside of their primary center. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview, and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings, ensuring patients are informed and all questions and concerns are addressed for each procedure. Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel. Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, all under physician supervision. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls.
