A typical Staff RN would have 1:4-5 ratio during the day and 1:5-6 at night. We would typically staff 4 NA’s during the day and 3 at night. New staff members are partnered with a preceptor and mentor to help acclimate them to the unit. Live In Caregiver- Brookfield- Friday 7 AM-Monday 3 PM SUMMARY: Caregivers assist agency clients with tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan established by the agency Care Manager. We Are Hiring: Clinical Nurse II- PACU- WMH- 0.6 FTE Schedule: Closing/mid shift hours starting between 1000-1300 with shift length between 8-10 hours. PACU hours of operation are 0730-2130. Call is approximately 1 night/week (Monday-Friday) and approximately 48 hours on the weekend in a month. The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is a 15-bed, outpatient specialty area within the hospital. It may also be called an observation unit. It is a place where a patient’s health can be monitored when they do not meet the requirements for inpatient hospitalization yet require further observation before they go home. The unit allows our patients to rest in a comfortable, private healing space and to stay longer than a traditional emergency room visit. It is designed for patients who need tests or short-term treatments. A patient in this unit will benefit from a quick assessment of their condition, less time in the hospital, a lower cost of care, and a better experience. What You Will Do: Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Nurse Intern collects objective data according to the clinical practice and theory obtained from nursing education and in orientation. Utilizes this objective data and works under the supervision of the registered nurse in providing nursing care grounded in the ANA standards of nursing practice. May administer medications under the direct supervision of the RN after completing Pharmacology course (or equivalent content) in school. The Nurse Intern must be a nursing student entering the final semester of a registered nurse program or an individual having completed a nursing program but not yet obtained state licensure to practice as an RN. Obtains clinical knowledge and technical skills while working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse i.e Clinical Nurse 2,3 or 4. Responsibilities Provides personal care services to patients. Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of specific techniques of personal and supportive care such as ambulation of clients, transferring clients, assisting with the normal range of motion and positioning, and doing household chores. Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, as assigned. Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned. Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the primary nurse. Follow specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care. Written instructions are to be received prior to the delivery of services. Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist. Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements. CNA experience within the last two years. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
