Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Manager – Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), GI Lab, and Central Scheduling is responsible for the operational, clinical, regulatory, and financial performance of these perioperative support and procedural areas. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Manager provides leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, efficient patient care delivery across ambulatory procedural services and perioperative preparation workflows. We are seeking a Field Nurse Case Manager to cover the North Bay Area in CA, and surrounding areas . A Field Case Manager role is a home-based position with travel, up to 2 hours one-way (4 hours round trip per appointment). Responsibilities The RN Clinical Quality Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of Community Health System (CHS), adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position works in tandem with the Quality Department, Physicians, Nursing Leaders, Information Technology, Clinical Documentation Team, and Coding assuring quality metrics are held to the highest standard for CHS. The Clinical Quality Coordinator is responsible for maintaining quality work queues and quality reports, advanced and complex project work that includes, but is not limited to, Risk Adjustment, Mortality Review, Hospital Acquired Condition (HAC) and Patient Safety Indicator (PSI) Review, Quality Abstraction and Analysis, and/or special and non-traditional project work. Incumbents to this role have a mastery of advanced clinical and system understanding integrity and quality concepts, coupled with the ability to consistently identify root causes and deliver measurable results. Key to this role is the ability to lead and facilitate quality initiatives and external rankings initiatives while remaining compliant within the coding guidelines and regulations. This role assists in solving complex problems and adds new perspectives to existing solutions. The Clinical Quality Coordinator applies advanced knowledge of the national quality agenda and clinical documentation integrity and coding compliance to advance problem analysis and creative process redesign for CHS. Our Neuroscience team at Community Regional was one of just 11 neuroscience intensive care units in the U.S. to earn a Beacon Gold Award of Excellence. As part of our Level I Trauma Center, the largest of three acute care hospitals, you will be key to the continuum of care of Valley patients and beyond! In this 30-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2, you will work closely with fellow team members, including our Neurological Intensivists, who provide teaching in an individualized or group setting. Procedures such as placing external ventricular drains, ICP monitors, line placement, and lumbar drains are examples of the credentials and training our team members have. Responsibilities The RN provides on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents/young adults residing in Newport Healthcare facilities. The RN is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare and comply with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations. Essential Duties: Medication administration. Obtain and document vital signs in the medical record. Evaluate medical complaints/concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to appropriate NP/MD. Complete treatment plans when indicated, provide direct care and nursing services to clients as prescribed by program regulations, and client health screening. Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures. Maintains records, including but not limited to Medication Administration Record, medical records, medical charts, infection control log etc. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed. Comply with all mandated reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, infection control, etc. Ensure accurate and timely initiation of medications and arrival of medications from pharmacy. Communicate with Care Coordinators (CCs) regarding medication concerns. Order all medication refills in a timely manner. Destroy medications per DEA protocol. Coordinate with operations staff to order any/all medical equipment. May include phlebotomy. Attendance at meetings per prior arrangement, and participation as an interdisciplinary team member. Qualifications Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work. Experience in residential nursing a plus. Compensation for this role ranges from $37-$55 per hour depending on education and experience.
