In healthcare, the stakes are high. Not only for the safety and well-being of residents, but also for the nurses and aides who care for them.  

At IntelyCare, we want to ensure that our IntelyPros have the processes and resources needed to keep themselves safe and their residents well cared for. Which is why we want to introduce you to your Clinical Quality and Education team! 

The Clinical Quality and Education team at IntelyCare is made up of experienced nursing professionals with varied backgrounds. The team’s goal is to identify and eliminate any potential risks that could lead to mistakes. And they do so by ensuring our IntelyPros have what they need on shifts, providing training and education where needed, supporting IntelyPros and our clients during clinical investigations, and much more.

Diana Campion, MSN, APRN, ANP-C 

Education Development Nurse

Diana has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Educator, and Nurse Content Writer. She began her career as a critical care nurse working in the medical intensive care unit and emergency trauma department. Diana’s desire to empower nursing professionals now motivates her work as an Education Development Nurse, as she draws on her experience to bring innovative ideas to the healthcare industry.

Dawn McKenzie, BS, MSN, RN 

Lifecycle Engagement Nurse 

Dawn McKenzie is a Lifecycle Engagement Nurse with a diverse background, starting as a CNA before becoming a RN with Masters’ certifications in Nursing Education and Nursing Informatics. As an advocate for patients and paraprofessionals alike, Dawn is committed to driving change in long-term care management and staff development. 

Amanda Igartua, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse 

Amanda Igartua has been a Registered Nurse since 2017, with the majority of her experience being in critical care as both a staff and travel nurse. Amanda is passionate about advocacy and diversity within the nursing field and strongly believes that patients are better protected and cared for when nurses’ voices are at the forefront. Outside of being a nurse, Amanda enjoys boxing, muay thai, and watching ‘The Office’ on repeat.

Brenda McCarthy, BSN, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse 

Brenda has been an RN since 2018. A graduate of UMass Boston, she began her career in a skilled nursing home working with both long-term care residents and short-term rehab residents. From there, Brenda went on to work in an acute hospital setting, on a cardiac step-down unit with telemetry, and then as a travel nurse at various hospitals on/tele units. Brenda is passionate about nursing and ensuring that residents and patients get great care.    

Dorothy Bernard, BSN, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse 

As a Quality Assurance Nurse at IntelyCare, Dorothy Bernard is dedicated to making a direct impact on patient care and resident outcomes. With experience in long-term care and acute inpatient settings, Dorothy values the importance of her role in ensuring quality care standards. She finds fulfillment in knowing that her work contributes to positive patient outcomes, despite not being physically at the bedside.    

Jason Bergeron, BSN, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse 

Jason Bergeron brings over five years of experience in cardiac and mental health nursing to his role at IntelyCare. Inspired by the compassionate care provided to his terminally ill father during his teenage years, Jason is dedicated to providing that same level of care to his patients. A proud recipient of the Daisy Award, Jason values strong interpersonal relationships built on integrity and humor, striving to support and encourage positive changes in patient care.   

Jennifer Sypher, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse 

Jennifer Sypher began her nursing journey as an LPN in 2011 before becoming an RN in 2017. With a background in long-term care, primary care, case management, and home care, Jennifer is dedicated to elevating patient care standards. As a Quality Assurance Nurse at IntelyCare, she upholds the highest standards in healthcare delivery, ensuring quality and compassionate care for all patients.   

Kristin Keating, RN 

Quality Assurance Nurse

Kristin Keating has been a registered nurse since 2005. From trauma centers to pre-certification for major insurance companies, Kristin brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Quality Assurance Nurse at IntelyCare. Her passion for nursing drives her to positively impact residents’ quality of life while advocating for quality care standards.    

Bruna Pereira, BSN, RN 

Quality Assurance Team Lead 

Bruna Pereira received her Bachelors in Nursing from MGH IHP in 2017 and has experience in thoracic surgery, medical intensive care, and triage nursing. As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, Bruna finds her role at IntelyCare doubly rewarding as she not only gets to help ensure that patients receive quality care, but also gets to help our IntelyPros grow in their careers as passionate and empathetic healthcare providers.    

Michelle Hockman, MS, BSN, RN 

Director, Clinical Quality Assurance 

Michelle Hockman leads the Clinical Quality Assurance team, striving to provide the support and education our IntelyPros need to elevate the level service they provide. After spending the first 20 years of her professional career in Human Resources, Michelle returned to school 8 years ago to pursue a degree and second career in Nursing. With a background spanning acute care, outpatient, and public health settings, she is passionate about improving patient experiences and health outcomes.   

Rachel West, MHA, MSN, RN 

Director, Education 

Rachel has been a nurse for more than 20 years. She has a passion for education and is committed to creating the best possible education for nursing professionals. She has led the development of IntelyCare’s premier education destination, IntelyEdu. Rachel believes that education is the foundation for individuals to reach their personal and professional goals. She loves learning and finding ways to make courses interesting, relatable, and timely.  

Lynn Barry, MSN, RN 

Vice President, Clinical Operations

Lynn oversees the education and quality assurance teams and is responsible for maintaining clinical compliance for IntelyCare. She has nearly 20 years of nursing experience in a variety of practice settings and positions, including working as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Administrator, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Clinical Nurse Educator. Lynn has in-depth experience developing protocols, practices, and policies that support clinical operations and drive efficiencies in the delivery of nursing care.
