Our staffing in addition to the charge nurse are two nurses on each hall and a tech on each hall. We are technically a med-surg floor, however with a very high concentration of renal patients from acute to chronic. Many are on Hemodialysis, which is performed in another area of this floor. We perform Peritoneal Dialysis. We also are home to kidney transplant patients. Our program is still growing, we are doing about 30 per year. It is possible to get certification for med-surg, renal nurse and transplant nursing. Bonuses and expenses are paid for completion of a certification. Scrub Tech Ortho at Baylor Surgicare Fort Worth I: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. Qualifications: Education High school graduate or equivalent. Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Cln-Pulmonary Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: A Registered Nurse skilled to deliver individualized nursing care to patients/families according to their identified needs. The nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the Specialty Clinic. Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program. Minimum of one year pediatric nursing experience preferred. Experience in a clinical setting preferred. Certification/Licensure: Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Current BLS Certification. Will obtain advanced life support certification within two years from their date of hire/transfer date. Other certification may be required by department.
