Job Summary and Qualifications The RN, u nder supervision of the Director of CV services is responsible for performin g the daily operations for the CV patient population . The RN is responsible for direct and indirect patient care, assists the Physicians during procedures, responsible to circulate cases, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures and hemodynamic monitoring. Patient care functions will be performed in accordance with the nurse practice act in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Provides patient education of procedures. Maintains quality of technical and nurse duties and adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures in a manner consistent with the missions and goals of the organization. Job Summary and Qualifications The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. Under general supervision the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical Center of Lewisville. In collaboration with patient, patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice. RN’s are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shif What you will do in this role: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
