Serves as the Delegating Nurse, performing all Delegating Nurse responsibilities per COMAR 10.07.14.20. Responsibilities: Advocate for all aspects of resident care, including case management and coordination of care, ensuring both the quality of care and the appropriateness of care are acceptable. This includes being a liaison with outside agencies, such as hospice, home health, physical therapy, med options, physicians, pharmacy, families, etc. Completes self-medication assessment every three (3) months. Completes the comprehensive nursing assessment for residents on admission, re-admission, and every 45 days. Updates the Resident Assessment Tool (RAT) annually and with any significant change in condition as needed. Provides staff training and education regarding changes in resident service planning Manage the clinical oversight of resident care in the Assisted Living Reviews and signs all incident/accident reports within regulatory time frame. Coordinates and implements all appropriate interventions. In conjunction with Director of Health & Wellness, coordinates supervision of the nursing staff, including but not limited to: coaching, evaluating, retaining, educating, orienting, providing support, scheduling, counseling and payroll as needed. Responsible to encourage staff to participate in employee satisfaction surveys and then to improve satisfaction scores each time they are completed. Participates in marketing/admission meeting. Participates and prepares audits for quarterly Quality Assurance Meeting. Meets with the Assisted Living Manager, Director of Health and Wellness and the pharmacist for pharmacy review. Assists in providing staff training per COMAR regulation 10.07.14.19 as needed.
