Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing education and healthcare practices. Assist in the development and revision of the CNA program curriculum as needed. Comply with all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to CNA training and certification. Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA or in a related nursing role. Train the Trainer Course Completion Prior teaching or training experience is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students. Proficiency in using technology and educational software for teaching purposes. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success. Working Conditions: The BNATP Instructor will work in a classroom and clinical setting. May require evening and weekend hours to accommodate student schedules. Leads the physician care teams in ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients seen or treated in an ED, IC or as an inpatient. Coordinates the process of determining the needs of various sets of individuals, including those identified chronic care conditions, using Epic and registry reporting to determine which patients are overdue for: care; services; or testing. Develops a community resource list of services available to patients and maintains collegial relationships with community resources agencies used most frequently. Contacts patients between visits via telephone, email or MyChart to check on self-monitoring, provide encouragement and support, and assess patient progress toward health status goals; Participates in the process of incorporating evidenced based diagnosis and treatment guidelines into the management of patient panels. Education and Experience Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or graduate of a medical assistant program in a postsecondary school or college that has institutional accreditation by a regional accrediting commission or by a national accrediting organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education, Experience in clinic setting preferred. Certification and Licensure Required current CMA certification through the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) or RMA certification through the AMT (American Medical Technologists) or CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) through NHA (National Healthcareer Association) that have also completed the education requirements. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. This job requires the employee to exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Pushing and pulling equipment to provide care Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision. Occasionally distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Level of Supervision Some independent judgment is required, but decisions are limited by standard practices or procedures.
