Job Description This position is Sign-On Bonus Eligible. Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is seeking an evening/mid-shift Charge Nurse for our Surgery Department. Must be well-versed in all specialties and have previous OR/Procedural experience. Busy Level 1 Trauma Center, CVOR, Robotics and Accredited Ortho/Total Total Hip & Knee Center. The OR has 15 suites, including an intraoperative MRI performing vascular and neuro procedures. All ORs have Stryker integrated technology and all service lines have the latest technology. We perform approximately 700 cases a month and provide all operative services, except transplants. Qualifications CA Registered Nurse BLS from the American Heart Association Must have 2+ years' experience in trauma, ortho, neuro or vascular cases in a busy OR setting. Our center for excellence in providing wound care, hyperbaric and ostomy care. The center focuses on limb preservation and has a multi-disciplinary approach to care. We also have an inpatient (SWOT) Skin, Wound and Ostomy department that provides inpatient care as well as collaborates for continuity of care with our outpatient center. Both departments collaborate and support education and best practice in skin wound and ostomy care throughout our community. The work environment is upbeat with the ability to work independently yet feel supported as part of the team. This is a fast-paced environment and requires excellent communication and intermediate computer skills. Qualifications California RN license BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
