Revises care plans daily as needed, by identifying problems, formulating measurable goals, and incorporating resident/family wishes and teaching; while respecting and promoting the resident to self-direct their own care. Administers medications to assigned residents as ordered by the physician, including intravenous services. Required Skills/Abilities Consistent execution of quality customer service . Maintains and demonstrates ethical conduct . Able to effectively communicate with geriatric and/or confused residents and a variety of other people such as family members, visitors, vendors, Private Duty Residents, and staff. Positive and constructive attitude. A working knowledge of nursing theory, proficient in nursing procedures and infection control practices. Ability or skill in judgment, decision-making, communication, organization, supervision, documentation and follow through. Ability to identify reactions to medications and treatments. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred. Working Environment & Physical Demands This position is required to regularly work on campus. Works in a well-lit and well-ventilated facility. May be exposed to confused, belligerent or physically aggressive residents, may be exposed to contagious diseases and mental stress. Subject to frequent interruptions. Manual dexterity, good vision and hearing is required. Must be able to read product labels and distinguish colors.
