Assists with business operations, clerical, medical records management, reception, and patient scheduling as needed. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Graduated from a Medical Assistant program, accredited by the Commission on accreditation of Allied Health Education Program preferred. Test and pass the National Certification exam (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, NAHP) to be certified as Medical Assistant required. Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions, policies, guidelines and standards. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Intermediate Proficiency level with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel. Physical, Mental, Environmental and Working Conditions Works in outpatient clinic and acute health care setting with adult, pediatric, adolescents and geriatric patients with developmental delays, behavioral issues, and/or health related medical problems. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Job Summary Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.
