This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. The current scheduling needs for this position will be established between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager. Apply today GENERAL PURPOSE: The MDS Coordinator is responsible to assess and/or coordinate the assessment of all residents and to complete the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), the electronic transmission of RAI data to the State of Nevada, the transfer of Resident Assessment Group Data (RUG) to the hospital PatCom system, and the ongoing education of those completing the MDS. Boulder City Hospital is an 82-bed facility, a 47-bed long-term care facility, and a 10-bed Geriatric Behavioral Medicine Center. Job Description Under the general direction of the Department Manager, Physician and/or Mid-level Provider, the Medical Assistant is able to support front and back office processes, and/or clinical processes, based on the needs of the practice and flow of the day. This position will prepare the patient for examination and/or procedures; prepares re-usable instruments for sterilization and ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations. This position participates in the delivery of excellent medical services; may assist with front desk activities such as coordinating and completing all front desk activities and necessary paperwork to intake patients ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This role verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. This position will administers injections and medications as directed by physician in addition to other clinical tasks. The Medial Assistant is expected to actively participating and supporting quality improvement activities and the clinical practice teams with these efforts. Must be able to stand or walk for 12-hours. Must be able to lift and move patients. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. High School diploma or general education equivalent (GED) 2.
