We are seeking a Full-Time Unit Clerk to support the day-to-day administrative and clerical operations of our Medical/Surgical Unit. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth communication and documentation flow between departments, clinical staff, and patients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent support in a fast-paced environment.

- Serve as the communication hub for the Medical/Surgical unit, handling phone calls, messages, and coordination with other departments
- Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors professionally and compassionately
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, medical records, and unit logs
- Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Input data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Ensure availability of necessary forms, supplies, and equipment for clinical staff
- Support nursing staff in clerical and logistical functions as needed
- Monitor patient assignments and bed tracking systems
- Uphold patient confidentiality and hospital standards in all communications
- Able to enter data into the electronic medical records (EMR), order entry, medication entry into OMAR and monitor telemetry activity

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Unit Clerk or in a healthcare administrative role preferred

- Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems strongly preferred
- Telemetry Certification REQUIRED
