The Certified Medication tech will NOT perform any of the following: taking or transcribing physician orders activities outside the Scope of Practice for CMT as outlined in the State Practice Act. Education, Experience, Knowledge, Ski lls, Abilities and Availability Graduate of a state approved Certified Medication Technician course. Six months experience within the past 2 years as a Certified Medication Technician. Currently certified in the state as a Certified Medication Tech. Passing score on RAH’s CMT Competency exam. Meets the health requirements for employees providing direct patient care. Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job. Have valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation. Annual tuberculin skin test or x-ray and periodic health statement signed by a licensed health examiner and any other health tests or immunizations required by facility. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will: Take an active role in resident assessments, development of service plans, and daily care. Oversee and implement the self-administered medication management program for residents. Administer medication and/or treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders. Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental, or behavioral conditions. Provide emotional support, physical comfort and ensure ongoing safety of residents. Supervise Care Partners and Home Health Aides in providing resident care in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines. Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes their individual needs and rights. Assist in the marketing of the community by touring and participating in public relation events; establishing relationships with potential resident referral sources.
