Job Summary

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly lady in Vienna. She is bed-bound and needs assistance with continence care, eating, and repositioning in her bed. Family requests Caregiver to provide her with conversation although she is mostly unresponsive and sleeps a great deal. She is at home in a private room, living with family who will not always be present.

Benefits: 

  • Hourly rate of $17 to $21 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
  • Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
  • Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
  • Requirements:
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Pass a background check and drug screen
    • Current Driver's License
    • Current TB test
    • Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Fairfax County and surrounding areas
    • Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
