Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Transfer, position, and turn residents. Provide skin care to residents. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care. Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Description Outpatient - MaineHealth Neurosurgery & Spine is recruiting for an experienced Physician Associate/Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) and ability to see both adult and pediatric patient populations in our Scarborough practice. This is an opportunity to join our well respected team in the Neurosurgery group supporting 12Surgeons and working alongside ourAdvance Practice Providers (APPs) providing ambulatory outpatient surgical care services to include, consults, triage, and management of outpatient neurosurgical patient care processes. MaineHealth Neurosurgery & Spine is part of the Neuroscience Institute at Maine Medical Center, a regional center of excellence in neurosciences and one of the largest in New England. Our practice is an integral component of the Institute which focuses on three major areas: clinical/patient care, medical education and research, in order to provide the residents of Maine and New England state-of-the-art care. These are four 9-hour shifts/outpatient only. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification. Updates problem and medication list at each patient visit. Assists in procedures requested by the medical provider. Performs phlebotomy as needed.
