He/she directs, plans, and coordinates service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering resident care. Works with the Administrator to develop, allocate, and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services. Maintains cohesive public and professional relationships, including community, resident, family, and physician services. Provides a formal liaison between the medical staff and the department of nursing services.
