A Day in the Life: Program Administration Support Prioritize and organize the daily care of individuals to ensure consistent and effective service delivery. Make care assignments and assist in creating treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical staff to meet individual needs. Provide orientation and support to staff and to the unit to maintain continuity and quality of care. Direct support staff to coordinate workflow and communicate problems to the Charge Nurse Supervisor to ensure smooth operations. Complete required documentation of nursing notes, transfer forms, and other records to maintain accurate and timely reporting. Program Management Support Provide ongoing assessment and documentation of individuals' physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge to inform care decisions. Administer medications and treatments according to state-operated health care facility policies and procedures to support recovery and wellness. Develop and implement nursing care plans for diagnosis or treatment plan changes to adapt to evolving needs. Complete medication administration supervision monitors and clinical observation notes for support staff to ensure compliance and quality. Respond and intervene in emergency situations and with agitated individuals to maintain safety and therapeutic environment. Educate individuals and family members regarding medication, procedures, and treatment goals and objectives to promote understanding and engagement. Ensure proper safety and infection control standards are met for the unit to protect staff and individuals. Overview Full-time/Days/40 hours per week No weekends/No IUH observed holidays Hours: 0645-1700 Location: 1010 South Main Street, Tipton, In 46072 (Suite 200) Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care given in accordance with the organization standards. Assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, assures smooth patient flow, performs general lab work, instructs patients concerning procedures, treatments and needs, and ensures medical orders and referrals are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. Performs registration and scheduling activities per organizational and departmental procedures. Maintains EMR files and performs general front office functions as needed. May perform computerized physician order entry, only if directed by assigned physician. Expected to precept current MA team members or MA Externs as requested by leadership. AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required. Current certification in medical assisting required from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).
