Summary Job Description: REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE REQUIRED Three (3) Years Experience in BOTH ED AND CLINICAL MANAGEMENT PREFERRED Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department-Flow Coordinator - Full-Time, Second Shift The Emergency Department is a 28-bed Level IV Trauma Center, established to provide care for individuals with acute medical or surgical illnesses or injuries for which immediate medical attention is required or desired. The patient flow coordinator is an entry-level management position responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. He/she will coordinate all patient care activities, mitigate delays, and be a liaison with the ED medical staff and other departments to ensure that care is delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The patient flow coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership, and professionalism in the ED. RN-Patient Flow Coordinator-ER-Full-Time Coordinate Patient Flow Facilitate timely movement through evaluation, treatment, discharge, and transfers. Deliver Clinical Care Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and documents accurately. Mentor and Educate Staff Support staff development through coaching, orientation, and competency validation. Support Unit Operations Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment; assist with unit management tasks. Demonstrate Leadership Model critical thinking and contribute to performance improvement initiatives. Ensure Safety & Compliance Follow hospital policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols. Collaborate Across Departments Work with nursing leadership and other teams to resolve care concerns and improve outcomes. Track and Report Patient Metrics Monitor patient flow data, identify delays, and escalate issues as needed. Requirements: Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Three (3) years of clinical management experience preferred.
