KVC Missouri - Practicum Student Reports To: Clinical Supervisor Job Summary As an intern, the position participates in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of children. KVC Missouri Residential - Niles Location: Kansas City, MO Pay: $18.00-$21.65 per hour Schedule : Part-time/PRN (As needed) Job Summary The Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for KVC Missouri provides compassionate care and supervision of children and youth. They provide support to help young people achieve their treatment goals through daily activities, teaching coping techniques and positive behavior skills. Our BHTs can expect to work closely with nurses and therapists in reinforcing treatment plans, documenting client activity and maintaining a safe environment. The Foster Care Case Manager (FCCM) is responsible for providing, coordinating, and facilitating all case management services necessary to support the permanency goal for children who have been placed in out-of-home care by the court system. The FCCM will intervene on behalf of abused and neglected children, testify in court when required, collaborate with community members and other disciplines to deliver comprehensive services to families, and develop an implement permanency plans for children who are in the custody of children's division.
