Department Overview The Cardiology Clinic is a multidisciplinary practice with primary locations at the Center for Health and Healing and Beaverton Clinics with some programmatic aspects on Marquam Hill. The practice cares for adults. The clinic cares for patients 18 and older with cardiac diseases. The RN is a key member of the multi-disciplinary patient care team, which includes physicians, advance practice providers, medical assistants, schedulers, and other clinical and management support staff. The Cardiovascular Device RN is a registered nurse who is independently accountable for the effective management and coordination of care of patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED), pacemakers, ICD, and Implantable Loop Recorders. The RN will partner with the Electrophysiology (EP) team and other clinical staff throughout OHSU to coordinate the care of cardiovascular patients with CIEDs. The RN will coordinate care in the outpatient setting for long term in person and remote monitoring. Function/Duties of Position CLINICAL SERVICES: Working with the various members of the multi-interdisciplinary team in delivering outpatient care to patients with CIEDs: Conduct interviews with patient, family, and other health care agencies to obtain past medical records and social and medical history to assess their understanding of the plan of care regarding cardiac monitoring devices. Department Overview The Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery is one of the largest divisions within the Department of Surgery, comprised of a team of dedicated faculty in support of OHSU as a Level 1 trauma center. Our trauma surgeons provide expert care to the most seriously injured patients in the state, instruct future generations of trauma surgeons, and conduct research into improving and advancing the treatment of trauma patients. Its surgical critical care fellowship program sponsors four fellows each year. The trauma, critical care and acute care surgery advanced practice provider (APP) is a faculty member in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery. In this role, the selected candidate will work as part of a high-performing Trauma team in the Level I Trauma program at Oregon Health & Science University. The hospital is a tertiary referral center with a robust group of consultants and specialists. The selected candidate will fulfill a critical role on the Trauma team, providing patient care across the continuum.
