The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of pediatric patients, according to their individual needs and care plan using a multidisciplinary method. The Registered Nurse facilitates referrals to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources. The Registered Nurse is responsible for direct client care including a holistic approach to the care of children and their families, including educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional care/needs of the child. The Registered Nurse will educate the client and family regarding immediate care needs and preventative behaviors. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure eligible in the state of Florida. Recent graduate with a provisional RN license. Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems. Preferred: At least six months of current experience as a practicing RN with pediatric experience. Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD) required. Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Care Provider Background Screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse. Summary This is a Contract or a Time limited position for a minimum of 13 weeks contract and extendable with notice. This position will pay $65.00 per hour with no benefits. The RN Specialty Temp position is dedicated to providing coverage for our PreOp/PACU when a regular staff is scheduled off for a day or number of days in order to ensure that our patients continue to receive the care and service they deserve and have come to expect. Shift: Monday - Friday (5am - 3:30pm) 4 ten-hour shifts Position Highlights RN Specialty Temp Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.
