Position Summary: The primary purpose of your job is to assess resident’s needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care in a SNF setting. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Education/Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (AND or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross *Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire) One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Perioperative experience Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
