This Level II trauma center is located an hour north of West Palm Beach. This facility serves the Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. Qualified Candidates/Opportunity Highlights: ACT 9 Physicians and 27 CRNAs. Diverse mix of cases including General, Ortho, OB/GYN, Trauma, Thoracic, Vascular/Endovascular, Neuro, ENT, Urology and Peds Annual surgical volume - 11,500 cases State-of-the-Art facility with a total of 13 operating rooms and 15 SOS. 2 ORs dedicated to open heart surgery; 2 OB (Level III NICU); Level II Trauma. Practice top of license with demonstrated proficiency . 8, 10, 12 14 and 24 hour shifts available. Back up weekend beeper call from home Friday 7p-7a, Sat, Sun and Holidays 7a-7a. Always 1 physician and 1 CRNA inhouse. Informs physician of patient’s condition during anesthesia. · Manages patients’ airway or pulmonary status using techniques, such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation. · Oversees patient recovery from anesthesia and cares for patient’s immediate post-operative needs. · Prepares prescribed solutions and administers local, intravenous, spinal, or other anesthetics following specified methods and procedures. · Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering fluids or drugs, and using basic or advanced life support techniques. · Develops anesthesia care plans. · Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
