Job Description

Outstanding ambulatory opportunity with compensation up to $290,000 plus a $50,000 sign on bonus, and 6+ weeks PTO including CME time. Summit Health is a growing, physician led, multispecialty practice environment that operates multiple ASCs for a wide range of ambulatory surgeries. 8- and 10-hour shifts are available with the opportunity to earn additional income for work on Saturdays. This opportunity provides a fantastic lifestyle with no nights, no call, no holidays, and no requirement for work on weekends.

Requirements include:

Requires NJ State Medical License and certification and board certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
CDS and DEA required
Ability to commute as needed

Responsibilities include:

Works collaboratively on a team with 15 full-time Anesthesiologists and 5 CRNAs
Provides anesthetic care for a wide variety of cases including General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, and GI
Provides anesthetic care for all types of patients and procedures in collaboration with the medically directing physician and under the standards and guidelines of the Department of Anesthesiology
Will administer anesthesia during surgery or procedures and will continuously monitor the patient’s vital signs and reactions and manage accordingly

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.

Monitors the patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patient needs. * Monitors ventilation continuously. Verifies intubation of the trachea by auscultation, chest excursion, and confirmation of carbon dioxide in the expired gas. Location Queens, New York Shift: Day Flex (United States of America) Description: Chief Nurse Anesthetist- CRNA- NYP/Queens At New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) deliver incredible care that is unseen anywhere else in the world. Our team of CRNAs provide patient-centered anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures. Join us as a the Chief Nurse Anesthetist at our NYP/Queens hospital. In this role, you will manage the staff of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and run the Student Nurse Anesthetist program. You will provide quality anesthesia and analgesia care to patients while under the medical supervision of an anesthesiologist in accordance with professional standards and established procedures. This position will have an active clinical presence based on operational need as well as allocated administrative time. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Plans overall staffing levels with Weill Cornell Anesthesia and Senior Director of Nurse Anesthesia. Ensures smooth consistent deployment of CRNA staff. Creates and maintains staffing schedule for the CRNAs, using computerized software and posts updates in real time. Plans quarterly and monthly schedules, manages requests for benefited time. 2. Responsible for recruiting and making new hire decisions with input from HR recruiting and Anesthesia department leadership. Manages and participates in the clinical interview process. Conducts employee appraisals, and makes merit increase suggestions. Provides ongoing critical feedback, and designs and implements corrective action plans for staff.
