The ECC Behavioral Health RN, under the supervision on the Nurse Director or designee, is responsible for the nursing care of assigned behavioral health patients located in the Emergency Care Center (ECC). Included in such responsibility is the goal of facilitating ECC psychiatric patient’s admission process to the inpatient psychiatric units or the transfer of patients to outside facilities. The ECC Behavioral Health Nurse will care for the behavioral health patient while awaiting consultation from PES, or bed placement, including medication administration, vital signs, and ADLs. This nurse will work closely with the ECC staff, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), and the inpatient psychiatric units. II. Major Responsibilities: 1. Demonstrates proficiency in multiple EHRs and is able to clearly document in all systems. 2. Acts as resource person for Department Directors and Unit Educators. 3. Receives and transmits all messages appropriately accurately and professionally to both staff and patients. 4. Uses effective/respectful communication techniques. 5. Supports all new initiatives and projects ensuring tasks are completed on the desired time line. 6. Assists in the collection of data to support staff and patient education. 7. Maintains a calm, open environment that is conducive to a learning environment. Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities: 1. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives. 2. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed. 3.
