Assists in the cleaning and sanitation of all equipment and supplies used in the unit and adheres to all guidelines regarding use of cleaning products. Consistently follows hospital policy regarding verification of patient identification prior to obtaining specimen and ensures specimens are appropriately labeled with patient identifiers, date and time of collection and initials. Ensures lab charges and patient charges are completed and accurate on a daily basis either in the computer or on paper as indicated in the designated areas.
