JOB SUMMARY: The Pediatric Registered Nurse plans, organizes and directs home care services and is experienced in pediatric nursing from birth through late teens, with emphasis on community health education/experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes comprehensive assessments of patient and family to determine home care needs at regular established timelines. Observe ethical and legal guidelines for safeguarding confidentiality of patients. Assess patient needs and physical status each skilled visit through health data assessment and patient interview. Re-evaluate patient needs through physical assessment, response to therapy and any updated physician’s orders. Inform physician of any changes in patient condition, response to care, progress etc. Obtain and clarify orders for Plan of Treatment revisions. Prepares clinical notes and updates the primary physician when necessary and at least every sixty days. Completes And submits all documentation in accordance with policy and procedures.
