Scheduling and coordinating procedures to include: Dx & Intervention Cardiac Cauterization, Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, TAVR, Mitra-Clip, Heart Biopsy, Pre-Lung Transplant Evaluation, Balloon Pulmonary Angiography, Peripheral Arteriograms, ASD & PFO Closure, etc.. The scope of practice includes preoperative patient care management, intraoperative surgical first assisting, and post operative patient care management. The role will help expedite surgical productivity, 2nd assist when needed, and first assist the surgeons. Job Duties Provide preoperative patient management in collaboration with other healthcare providers, including, but not limited to: preoperative evaluations, communicate/collaborate regarding the patient plan of care, Intraoperative surgical first assisting, including, but not limited to: using instruments/medical devices, providing exposure, handling and/or cutting tissues, providing homeostasis, and suturing Postoperative patient management in collaboration with other HCP's in the immediate postoperative period. Provide CRNFA experience and skill to the operating surgeon during the operative procedure and comprehensive nursing management of care during the Perioperative phase Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies, and procedures and guidelines in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients: follows age specific standards in administering medications based on patient's age; follows age specific standards of care during altered states of consciousness related to analgesia, conscious sedation or anesthesia; uses age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines to perform treatments and procedures that are routine for unit/clinic based on patient's age Incorporates cultural and developmental needs into plan of care: in collaboration with the patient/family, and in a developmentally and culturally appropriate manner, implements the plan of care; demonstrates competency in the provision of nursing care according to established standards of nursing practice and in developmentally appropriate manner Demonstrates excellent communication skills, highly organized with excellent organizational and decision making skills.
