SHIFT AND SCHEDULE Full Time 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS ·Complete a comprehensive assessment. This includes the initial and ongoing, extensive collection, analysis and interpretation of data. ·Synthesize the data collected during the comprehensive assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and to formulate goals, teaching plans and outcomes. ·Implement the plan of care. A BSN and certification in clinical area of expertise will be required to advance within the clinical nurse professional practice ladder. ·Licensure: Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse ·Preferred Certifications: Area of specialty within 2 years of employment (Certified MedSurg, or Orthopedic Nurse). ·Early Acute Stroke recognition and treatment preferred. ·Required to complete eight (8) hours of hospital provided continuing education hours upon hire and annually for Total Joint and Spine. Education will focus on management/care of total hip, knee and shoulder replacement as well as elective spine surgery patients.
