Responsibilities 

  • Under the direction of the RN, assist in identifying the physical and environmental needs as evidenced by documentation, clinical record, case conference, team report and evaluations
  • Participate in planning and implementing care in conjunction with the RN
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and patient 
  • Assure continuity of quality patient care delivered with appropriate documentation
  • Prepare regular clinical/progress notes and summaries
  • Assist the patient with the activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques
  • Provide and maintain a safe environment for the patient, including an optimum physical and emotional environment
  • Maintain client confidentiality 
  • Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event, incident, e.g., accident, injury, or significant change in the patient's condition

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
  • Proof of current LVN license
  • Proof of current CPR certification
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an LVN in a clinical setting preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual preferred

Job Requirements Our Licensed Vocational Nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role is all about the relationships and the bond you will create with the patients and their families. Work Experience Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current state licensure. Additional IV medication class, if required by state guidelines. Meets all state/licensing requirements. ESRD experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
